How the App Works

MyPath operates entirely offline on your device:

Local Storage Only

• Your walk preferences (duration, vibe selection, sound settings) are stored only on your device
• Walk history and settings remain on your device and are never transmitted
• No cloud backup or sync functionality

Notifications

• The app schedules local notifications on your device to alert you during walk intervals
• These notifications are created and managed entirely on your device
• No notification data is sent to us or any third party

Audio

• The app plays audio files (chimes and recovery sounds) stored locally within the app
• No audio is recorded, transmitted, or analyzed
• Audio playback happens entirely on your device

Permissions Required

The app requests the following permissions:

Notifications (iOS & Android)

• Why: To alert you when it's time to change between active and recovery walking intervals
• What: Allows the app to display notifications on your device
• When: Notifications are scheduled locally and trigger at specific intervals during your walk

Keep Screen Awake (iOS & Android)

• Why: To prevent your screen from turning off during your walk
• What: Prevents automatic screen lock while the app is active
• When: Only active during your walking session

Audio Playback (iOS & Android)

• Why: To play interval change sounds (chimes and tones)
• What: Allows the app to play audio through your device speakers
• When: During your walk at interval transitions

We do NOT request:

• ✗ Camera or photo access
• ✗ Microphone or recording access
• ✗ Location or GPS access
• ✗ Contacts or calendar access
• ✗ Health data or fitness tracking access

Third-Party Services

We Do NOT Share Your Data

Since we don't collect any data, there is nothing to share. We do not:

Children's Privacy

MyPath does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since we don't collect any data from anyone, this app is safe for all ages.

Since MyPath does not collect any data, there is no data retention policy. All app settings and preferences are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
